Roy L. and Mary G. Doss

The Roy L. and Mary G. Doss Scholarship was established in 2010 in memory of Roy L. and Mary G. Doss to benefit graduating seniors of Danville or Pittsylvania County. This scholarship is renewable for four years.

Mr. Doss worked as an electrician and also served in the U.S. Navy in World War II., where he served in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre and in the Amphibious Force, where he earned status of recognition for his participation in the Philippine Liberation. The Danville native died December 12, 2009 and was predeceased by his wife, Mary.
