R. Lee Farmer and Elizabeth M. Farmer

The Samuel Manning Farmer Scholarship was established in 2019 in memory of Samuel Manning Farmer by his family. Samuel, a native of Caswell County, was an outstanding student, athlete, and artist who died tragically in 2000. This scholarship benefits Bartlett Yancey High School graduates, with preference given to students attending Elon University, Greensboro College, Guilford College, North Carolina State University, or Wake Forest University.
