Patrick H. Musick

The Patrick H. Musick Scholarship was established to provide funding for deserving local Averett University students who have a tennis-playing background.

Mr. Musick was a local attorney and a strong supporter of Averett University, especially the tennis team. He was a native of Kingsport, Tennessee. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration in 1975 and graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1978. He clerked for Justice George Cochran of the Virginia Supreme Court and practiced law at the law firm of Clement and Wheatley. Patrick Musick died on March 24, 2001 at the age of 47 of cancer.
