M. Etta Jennings

The M. Etta Jennings Nursing Scholarship was established in 2013 to provide scholarships to Danville-Pittsylvania high school graduates in a two-year nursing program with a preference for programs located in Danville. Ms. Jennings was inspired to pursue nursing during World War II and received her training at Danville Memorial Hospital’s Nursing Program as a member of the Cadet Nurses Corps. Her formal nursing career spanned 45 years.
