Andy Warren

The Andy Warren Scholarship was established in memory of George Washington High School Football Coach, Mr. Andy Warren. The scholarship is awarded each year to deserving athletes from George Washington High School. Andy Warren graduated from George Washington High School in 1981. He was given a full athletic scholarship to attend Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. Andy played football for four years at Cameron, where he was an outstanding athlete, graduating in 1986. His dream while attending Cameron was to one day return to George Washington High School to teach and coach. His dream was fulfilled in 1989 when he was hired at GW as a teacher and coach. He taught and coached until January 1991. He was diagnosed with leukemia and became gravely ill, passing away in November 1991.
